Shayne Nichols, LLC seeks attorneys who have high law school credentials and the aptitude for practicing in a small-medium size law firm.

The primary source of the Firm's talent comes from outstanding law school graduates either directly out of law school or after experience with other law firms. The Firm is looking for the leadership of tomorrow in the continuation of its high standards and successful law firm representation.

The Firm provides immediate client contact and total responsibility for projects or cases with appropriate senior attorney supervision and training. The educational approach is to provide a broad range of experience of cases or projects which the Firm believes leads to a better trained and informed attorney. It is not unusual for a litigation associate to handle his or her first trial within a year of being admitted to the bar or, for a first year business attorney, handling an entire purchase transaction in a merger and acquisition with a senior attorney including the acquisition documentation, financing documentation, negotiations, due diligence, etc.

The Firm wants attorneys who love to practice law and the Firm fosters that environment. This is achieved in a variety of ways including a practice philosophy that incorporates the traditional methods of the practicing of law, by utilizing a comprehensive computer software technical support system and achieving a balance between personal time and professional time.

The Firm has adopted a reasonable goal for billable hours achieved with a consensus of associates and partners and has avoided excessive billable hours demanded upon attorneys by utilizing significant contingency fee cases to more than compensate what would otherwise be a heavy demand of billable hours per attorney.

The Firm has an informal atmosphere including casual business attire (non-business casual on Fridays) with some exceptions (such as court appearances).
